How do I clean my cutting board day-to-day?
Use warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Scrub gently, rinse quickly, and dry right away. Then stand it on edge so both sides can fully air dry.

No. Dishwashers combine heat, prolonged water exposure, and harsh detergents that can warp, crack, or dry out hardwood quickly.
That’s raised grain. This is normal when wood fibers absorb moisture. Once dry, a light rub with board wax usually smooths it out. If needed, a very light hand-sanding (fine grit) can help, then reapply the wax.
Once a month for regular use, and more often if your board looks dry (lighter color, rough feel) or during winter/dry climates. Heavy use boards may want oil/wax every 2–3 weeks.
Our board wax is handmade with food-grade beeswax and food-safe oils (commonly mineral oil), designed to hydrate wood and create a light protective barrier. It helps keep boards looking vibrant and reduces drying and water absorption.
It shouldn’t. If it feels sticky, too much wax was left on the surface.Just buff it more with a clean cloth. The goal is a soft sheen, not a waxy layer.
